| 1-How does this program differ from other school volunteer programs? |

| The Listeners/Oyentes Program ® is here to support the teachers and counselors by helping to defuse the emotions of the students that our volunteers listen to, so that these students can better absorb the lessons being taught. |

| Listeners are not allowed to give advice. Instead, they are more like "anchors in their student's storms". They do not serve as tutors. They can only listen to their students during school hours and only on school campus. Listeners do not communicate with parents or teachers; their only contact is the students school counselor. |
