| This program is jointly sponsored by Miami-Dade County Public Schools and The Francine and Herbert Tobin Foundation. The Listeners/Oyentes Program® has been servicing students by providing them with special one-on-one attention since 1972. Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer Listener/Oyente must register and attend one of thevirtual training sessions.   Once the virtual training has been completed, the volunteer selects a school that is geographically convenient for the weekly listening sessions.  The Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ Volunteer Program conducts a fingerprint background check for all Level 2 volunteers.  Listeners/Oyentes are considered Level 2 volunteers, and require a fingerprint background check before becoming a Listener/Oyente volunteer TO REGISTER, PLEASE CALL MS.
